Local Band Festival Two Day Town Ends Quarter-Century Run In Livermore
Two Day Town, a local band multi-genre festival that has been held for the past quarter of a century at Del Valle Regional Park near Livermore, will not return due to landlord issues.
The festival was held on the last weekend in April each year, but encountered increasing issues with the park management over the past few years. The organizers have ended negotiations with the park regarding the 2023 event and have announced that the festival will not return.
Two Day Town (which eventually grew to three days) featured a variety of local East Bay bands ranging from bluegrass to rock. Many East Bay bands that played the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival also performed at TDT. The event offered camping and evening jamming with a family atmosphere.
TDT does not plan to seek a new venue. However, a new group may form to move and continue the event.
