Just Picked String Band Set For The Summit House On October 27
The Just Picked String Band (Gilroy) will perform at the FREE Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series on October 27.
The weekly series runs every Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill at the top of Highway 17 between Los Gatos & Scottās Valley.
The series is presented by the Summit House and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.
Good food and drink are served during the performance. This is a nice place for music. See you there!

Annual NCBS Volunteer Thank You Party Is This Saturday, October 29
Volunteers and bands from allĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society events and other projects over the past year should have received their invitations to theĀ 2016 Volunteer Thank You Party.
The Ā annual gathering for those who do so much all year long to support the music will be held onĀ Saturday, October 29 at an undisclosed location.
If you volunteered or performed and have not received your invitation, contact Volunteer Party Chair Michael Hall and he will fix you right up.

Brookdale Winter Gathering To Feature Freebo At Don Quixote’s In Felton On November 27
The 2016 Brookdale Winter Gathering will feature an appearances by performer Freebo and by the Brookdale Bluegrass Band and DamDave & The Left Hand Band. The program will be held at Don Quixote’s in Felton on Sunday, November 27 at 7:00pm and will be welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society. Details will soon be announced by Brookdale Bluegrass.

Final RBA Concert Season Continues In November With Front Country
The finalĀ Redwood Bluegrass Associates season will continue on Saturday, November 19, 2016 with Front Country.
All RBA programs since 1995 have been welcomed by theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society. The series has brought bluegrass to the Peninsula & South Bay for 25 years.
The concert will be presented at theĀ Mountain View Masonic Hall, at 890 Church Street near downtown Mountain View.
Concert doors will open atĀ 7:00pm and the concert will begin atĀ 7:30pm. An open jam will be held at 5:00pm.

One Day Reminder: Saturday, October 22, 2016 is the due date for film submissions for theĀ 10th Annual NCBS Bluegrass Film Festival. The film festival is part of the FREEĀ Bluegrass On Broadway Festival, set forĀ January 27-29, 2017 inĀ Redwood City. Information: (650) 218-9845.

There is plenty of free parking on the street, in the Hall’s lot and in the nearby library parking lot. Concert doors will open atĀ 7:00pm and the concert will begin atĀ 7:30pm.
A (coed) open jam will be hosted by The Handsome Ladies beginning at 5:00pm.

The FREEĀ Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series continues following renovations at the venue last week. The lovelyĀ Santa Cruz Mountains views remain the same.
The weekly series runs every Thursday evening fromĀ 6:00pm to 8:30pm at theĀ Summit House Beer Garden & Grill at the top ofĀ Highway 17 betweenĀ Los Gatos & Scottās Valley. The series is presented by the Summit House and welcomed by theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society. Good food and drink are served during the performance.
