NCBS-Welcomed Stanley Sing Set For February In San Francisco

The 2017 Stanley Sing, a celebration of the music of Carter Stanley & Ralph Stanley, will be held in February in San Francisco.

The gathering during Ralph’s birthday month was previously held at The Lucky Horseshoe.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the revival of this event at a new location. More information will be available soon.

NCBS Thursday Bluegrass Series To Feature Wildcat Mountain Ramblers September 8

Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series

The next performance in the Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series on September 8 will feature The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers. Showtime is 6:00pm. There is no cover charge.

This place on Highway 17 between Los Gatos and Scott’s Valley is perfect for music, has great food and drink, and has a fantastic view of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

The shows are presented by the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

Information About Fall 2016 NCBS Walker Creek Scholarship Fund Donations

The Northern California Bluegrass Society Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund is now accepting donations for student scholarships for the Fall 2016 Camp, set for October 6-9. A NCBS committee manages the fund for scholarships for students in need of financial assistance.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization aka the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society, accepts the donations and disburses the scholarships. Donations to the NCBS fund are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Donors should consult their tax advisors. The Federal Tax ID No. is 94-2907716. Five Week Reminder: Nominations for the 2017 Northern California Bluegrass Awards are due by October 8, 2016.

Categories: Band, Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Fiddle, Dobro, & Bass.

Paper nominations are accepted at the NCBS Booth (this weekend at the Strawberry Information Booth) or nominations may be made by E-Mail.

Goat Hill Girls & Wildcat Mountain Ramblers Begin September At The Summit House

The next two shows in the Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series will feature local faves The Goat Hill Girls (September 1) and The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers (September 8).

The FREE shows are presented by the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

This place is perfect for music, has great food and drink, and has a fantastic view of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Shows run every Thursday 6:00-8:30pm.
