This FREE Rite Of Spring for the bluegrass community is presented by the Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society and will be held at the Duck Pond StageĀ inĀ San Lorenzo Park, near the courthouse in Santa Cruz.
Blue Summit will come to the Northern California Bluegrass Society-welcomedĀ Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series this March 21.Ā The FREE show will run 6:00-8:30pm. Good food and drink will be served.Ā The weekly series is presented by the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill at the top of Highway 17,Ā high in the Santa Cruz Mountains (and 6 miles south of Los Gatos).
TheĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund assists students who will need financial help in order to attend the Walker Creek Spring 2019 Music Camp. Donations to the scholarship fund are now being collected.
NCBS is aĀ Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) Organization that manages the fund and makes the scholarship awards. The camp will be run byĀ Ingrid NoyesĀ at theĀ Walker Creek Ranch nearĀ PetalumaĀ the weekend ofĀ April 11-14.

The headlinersĀ for the Spring 2019 Brookdale Bluegrass Festival will be Peter Rowan and Blue Summit.
The twice-annual event will be held at the San Benito County Historical Park inĀ Tres Pinos on the Easter Holiday Weekend, April 19-21.
The festival has been presented by Brookdale Bluegrass since 1998 and has been welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society beginning with the very first event.
The 26th AnnualĀ Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass FestivalĀ will be heldĀ Thursday-Sunday, August 8-11, 2019. More information will be announced soon.
The relaxed gathering of California bluegrass musicians and their fans will benefit the good works of the Northern California Bluegrass SocietyĀ throughout the year.
The lovely new home of the GOF festival is the San Benito County Historical Park inĀ Tres PinosĀ (7 miles south of Hollister).
