Donate To The NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund For Fall 2019

Donate to the Northern California Bluegrass Society Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund for deserving students attending the Walker Creek Fall 2019 Music Camp near Petaluma, set for November 1-4.

NCBS is a Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) Organization that manages the scholarship fund and makes the awards. The camp is run each spring and fall by Ingrid Noyes at the Walker Creek Ranch.

The Nightly Line-Up For The NCBS-Welcomed Berkeley Bluegrass Festival At The Freight & Salvage

The Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse has announced the nightly performance line-up for the NCBS-welcomed Berkeley Bluegrass Festival the weekend of May 16-19, 2019. The 4th annual festival will offer evening concerts along with daytime workshops on Saturday and Sunday. Both full festival and daily tickets are available.

The Harmony Grits Return To The Stage Of The Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair On May 5

The Harmony Grits will return to the stage of the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair on Sunday, May 5, 2019. The FREE Noon-6:00pm program will be held at the lovely Duck Pond Stage in San Lorenzo Park (near the courthouse in Santa Cruz).

The Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society show will also feature Luke Abbott, Blue Summit, Mission Blue, & The Down Beets. Bring chairs and blankets for shady lawn seating. Bring friends and a picnic and make it a lovely Rite Of Spring!

The long-running Brookdale Bluegrass Festival will be held this weekend at a familiar location far from its original home in the Santa Cruz Mountains — The San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos. That is where the NCBS Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival is held. Here is All You Need To Know To Go:

Food & Beer: Available onsite and at nearby establishments in Tres Pinos (1 mile) and Hollister (7 miles).

Jamming: Yes.

(NO) FOOD: Due to a last-minute vendor cancellation, THERE WILL BE ***NO*** ONSITE FOOD AT THE FESTIVAL.

The nearest restaurants are 1 mile north in Tres Pinos. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores 7 miles north in Hollister.

The Summit House To Present Blue Summit In A Mountaintop Performance On April 18

The Summit House will present Blue Summit on April 18 as part of the Northern California Bluegrass Society-welcomed Thursday Bluegrass Series.

The FREE show will run 6:00-8:30pm. Good food and drink will be served.  The Summit House Beer Garden & Grill at the top of Highway 17, high in the Santa Cruz Mountains (and 6 miles south of Los Gatos), has bluegrass every Thursday evening.

NCBS Announces The Late Night Line-Up For The 26th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival

The Northern California Bluegrass Society has announced the Late Night Line-Up at the Historic Dance Hall Stage for the 26th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, set for August 8-11, 2019 at the San Benito County Historical Park.

The festival will also have performances on the Main Stage, The ‘Tweener Stage, The First Stage, and throughout the camp.
