Northern California Bluegrass Society

The Northern California Bluegrass Society will welcome the 14th Annual Pick & Gather Festival, set for May 26-28 in Livingston (near Merced). The Memorial Day Weekend bluegrass music (and beyond) and farm-to-table gathering will be presented by Riverdance Farms.

The relaxed weekend will feature a wide variety of music along with the chance to pick your own blueberries, cherries, and strawberries. Camping in the walnut orchard is available, while swimming and other Merced River activities will be available.

The NCBS Information Booth will be there with flyers for all the upcoming bluegrass events. Stop by and say hello to our friendly volunteers!

Molly Tuttle will headline this Saturday evening at the Third Annual Berkeley Bluegrass Festival, presented by the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley. Meanwhile, Darol Anger will do the honors for Sunday evening’s closing show. The festival enjoyed a successful kickoff on Friday with Laurie Lewis as the evening’s headliner.

Here is the weekend line-up:

SATURDAY EVENING, May 19 — Molly Tuttle Band, Phantoms of the High Country, Jeff Scroggins and Colorado (plus Bluegrass Pride).

SUNDAY EVENING, May 20 — Darol Anger’s Blur-Grass All-Stars, The Get Down Boys, The Page Turners with Bill Evans and Max Schwartz (plus North Country Blue).

The East Bay’s only currently active bluegrass festival is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the Third Annual Berkeley Bluegrass Festival this weekend.

The only bluegrass festival in the East Bay will be held at the Freight & Salvage Coffee House in Berkeley on May 18-20. Full festival and individual show tickets are available.

FRIDAY, May 18 — Laurie Lewis and the Right Hands with Molly Tuttle, Sean Watkins with the Bee Eaters, Crying Uncle, plus Fog Holler.

SATURDAY, May 19 — Molly Tuttle Band, Phantoms of the High Country, Jeff Scroggins and Colorado, plus Bluegrass Pride.

SUNDAY, May 20 — Darol Anger’s Blur-Grass All-Stars, The Get Down Boys, The Page Turners with Bill Evans and Max Schwartz, plus North Country Blue.

The Green Music Center at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park will present its 4th annual bluegrass festival on Sunday, July 15. The event is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The Bluegrass & Craft Beer Festival will feature Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands, and Phoebe Hunt & The Gatherers.

The indoor/outdoor afternoon of music will take place on campus at the elegant Weill Hall & Lawn.

The Third Annual Berkeley Bluegrass Festival, featuring fiddler Darol Anger’s Blur-Grass All-Stars, will be presented by the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley on May 18-20, 2018.
