The Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society has announced the performance schedule for the FREE Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair, set for Sunday, May 5, 2019, Noon-6:00pm at the Duck Pond Stage in San Lorenzo Park, near the courthouse in Santa Cruz.

The Goat Hills Girls Set To Perform At The Thursday Night Summit House Bluegrass Series On Highway 17

The Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series will present The Goat Hill Girls on May 2.Ā The FREE show will runĀ 6:00-8:30pm. Good food and drink will be served.

TheĀ Summit House Beer Garden & GrillĀ at the top ofĀ Highway 17,Ā high in theĀ Santa Cruz MountainsĀ (and 6 miles south ofĀ Los Gatos) presents the weekly shows, which are welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

Blue Summit will perform at the FREE Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society’s 33rd Annual Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair on Cinco de Mayo, Sunday, May 5, 2019.

A full afternoon of bluegrass performers will include Luke Abbott, The Down Beets, Mission Blue, & The Harmony Grits.Ā The Noon-6:00pm fair will be held at the Duck Pond StageĀ inĀ San Lorenzo Park, near the courthouse inĀ Santa Cruz.

Ya’ll come! Bring a picnic, blankets or chairs, and all of your friends!

Brookdale Bluegrass Band To Headline Pick & Gather Festival At Riverdance Farms Near Merced

The Brookdale Bluegrass Band will headline theĀ 2019 Pick & Gather Festival presented by Riverdance Farms, in Livingston, near Merced. The gathering will take place June 1-2. (Note that the new festival dates will be on the weekend after Memorial DayĀ this year.)

The event will feature bluegrass and other music, camping, information about farm-to-table food, water quality, organic farming, swimming in the Merced River and other charming bucolic pursuits.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes this event to our area.

Donate To The NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund For Fall 2019

Donate to the Northern California Bluegrass Society Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund for deserving students attending the Walker Creek Fall 2019 Music CampĀ nearĀ Petaluma, set for November 1-4.

NCBS is aĀ Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) Organization that manages the scholarship fund and makes the awards. The camp is run each spring and fall by Ingrid NoyesĀ at theĀ Walker Creek Ranch.

The Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse has announced the nightly performance line-up for the NCBS-welcomed Berkeley Bluegrass Festival the weekend of May 16-19, 2019.Ā The 4th annual festival will offer evening concerts along with daytime workshops on Saturday and Sunday. The Harmony Grits will return to the stage of the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair on Sunday, May 5, 2019. The FREE Noon-6:00pm program will be held at the lovely Duck Pond StageĀ inĀ San Lorenzo ParkĀ (near the courthouse in Santa Cruz).

The Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society show will also feature Luke Abbott, Blue Summit, Mission Blue, & The Down Beets. Bring chairs and blankets for shady lawn seating. Bring friends and a picnic and make it a lovely Rite Of Spring!
