NCBS To Welcome The Pick & Gather Festival At Riverdance Farm In Livingston, Near Merced

The Northern California Bluegrass Society will welcome the 2019 Pick & Gather Festival at Riverdance Farms, Livingston, near Merced.

The relaxed gathering will take place June 1-2. Note that the new festival dates will be on the weekend after Memorial Day. The Brookdale Bluegrass Band will perform.

The unique farm, river and music event will feature bluegrass and other music, camping, information about farm-to-table food, water quality, organic farming, fruit-picking, swimming in the Merced River and other rural fun.

The Steep Canyon Rangers & The Dawg Trio Set For Sonoma State University Bluegrass Festival On July 21

The Steep Canyon Rangers and The Dawg Trio will perform at the 2019 Sonoma State University Bluegrass Festival to be held on Sunday, July 21 at the Weill Hall & Lawn, Green Music Center, on the SSU campus in Rohnert Park. Both indoor and outdoor seating will be available.

The event is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society. The annual Craft Beer Festival (with additional bluegrass music) will lead into the main festival at the same location.

Fourth Annual Berkeley Bluegrass Festival Is This Weekend At The Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse

This weekend’s 4th Annual Berkeley Bluegrass Festival begins on Thursday, May 16 and will run through Sunday, May 19.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society will welcome the event, which is presented by the Freight & Salvage and features four evenings of concerts with other events, including daytime workshops on both Saturday and Sunday. More information is on the Freight Website. Both full festival and daily tickets are available.

FRIDAY: Hot Buttered Rum, Front Country, Blue Summit, The High Water Line.

Northern California Bluegrass Society Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund Now Accepting Donations For Fall 2019

The Northern California Bluegrass Society Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund is now accepting donations for deserving students attending the Walker Creek Fall Music Camp near Petaluma, set for November 1-4, 2019.

NCBS is a Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) Organization that manages the scholarship fund and makes the awards.

The camp is run each spring and fall by Ingrid Noyes at the Walker Creek Ranch. Information: Walker Creek Music Camp.
