The Summit House will be closed for the Independence Day holiday on Thursday, July 4, so there will be no bluegrass music that evening. The regular NCBS-welcomed Thursday Bluegrass Series will return on July 11 with The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers.

The 26th Annual Northern California Bluegrass Society Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival is coming August 8-11, 2019. The fun, relaxed gathering will be held at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos (7 miles south of Hollister). Discount Advance Tickets are available until July 22.

Summit House To Present Purple Mountain Majesty At NCBS-Welcomed Thursday Bluegrass Series
The Summit House Beer Garden & Grill, high in the Santa Cruz Mountains (on Highway 17, 6 miles south of Los Gatos) presents the FREE weekly Thursday Bluegrass Series, which is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society. Showtime is 6:00-8:30pm. Good food and drink will be served. Last week was the Fifth Anniversary of this popular weekly gathering, which is organized by Robert Cornelius.
The next show with local favorites Purple Mountain Majesty will be on June 27.

Donations Are Being Accepted For Fall 2019 NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund
Donations for deserving students are now being accepted for the Northern California Bluegrass Society Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund.
The next Walker Creek Music Camp is set for November 1-4, 2019.
The NCBS is a Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) Organization that manages the scholarship fund and makes the awards. The camp is run each spring and fall by Ingrid Noyes at the Walker Creek Ranch, Petaluma.

The NCBS Accepts Donations To Support Its Non-Profit Bluegrass Goals
The Northern California Bluegrass Society, a California Not-For-Profit Corporation founded in 1982 (also known as the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society), accepts donations, which may be tax deductible.
The donations support the Society’s goals of bringing more bluegrass music and expanded education to the San Francisco Bay Area, the Monterey Bay Area, and all of Northern California.
The NCBS/SCBS is a 501(c)(3) Organization (Tax ID No. 94-2907716).
Steep Canyon Rangers Set For Sonoma State University Bluegrass Festival In Rohnert Park
The Steep Canyon Rangers are set to perform at the Sonoma State University Bluegrass Festival to be held at the Weill Hall & Lawn (Green Music Center) in Rohnert Park. on Sunday Afternoon, July 21.
Indoor and outdoor seating will be available at the event. The festival is welcomed by The Northern California Bluegrass Society. The Dawg Trio (with festival host David Grisman) will also perform.
More bluegrass music can be heard at the annual Craft Beer Festival at the same location before the main festival.
