The Jamesburg Schoolhouse Bluegrass Festival, scheduled for September 26, 2026, has been postponed to the spring of 2027 due to the Timber Fire now burning in the Big Sur area, adjacent to the Jamesburg area (on the land side of the mountain range south of Carmel Valley). The new festival date will be announced later.

The four-year-old festival is a benefit for the historic Jamesburg Schoolhouse and was set to feature several NCBS favorites, including The Courthouse Ramblers, Brianna Mae Colliard & The Desert Marigolds, and Eric Burmand & The Brookdale Bluegrass Band.

More information will be available when the festival director Jason Adams will be interviewed on the Monday Night Bluegrass program on KKUP Radio, on Monday September 14, at 91.5FM and online at <www.kkupfm.org>.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society Board Of Directors has elected officers for the 2026-2027 year. They are:

One Week Reminder: The Members of the Northern California Bluegrass Society will elect the nine-member 2026-2027 Board Of Directors on Saturday, August 8, 2026, 10:00am-5:00pm at the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos and by mail.

Mailed ballots must be RECEIVED by Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the Snazzy presentation of the Dan Tyminski Band and Poi Rogers on July 16, 2026 at the Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz.

The 2026 Election for the Northern California Bluegrass Society Board Of Directors will be held at the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos on Saturday, August 8, 2026, 10:00am-5:00pm, and by mail.

The nine elected board members will serve a one-year term, August 2026 to August 2027.

Candidate Statements are due to Michael Hall by July 7, 2026, for publication on the NCBS Website. Statements are limited to 100 words.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the Redwood Mountain Faire at Roaring Camp in Felton, May 30-31. This year’s line-up has top bluegrass acts on the bill.

The Plumas Homegrown Americana Festival, held at the Plumas County Fairgrounds in Quincy on Labor Day Weekend will not be held in 2026 pending review by new, yet-to-be-hired fairgrounds management. The festival may return in 2027.
