The NCBS/SCBS Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair will be held on May 3, 2020, the First Sunday In May, at the Duck Pond StageĀ inĀ San Lorenzo Park.Ā The FREE gathering is a Rite of Spring for area bluegrass fans.
TheĀ Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, a benefit for the Northern California Bluegrass Society, will be held August 6-9, 2020.
The 27th gathering of friends and family will be a fun, relaxedĀ weekend of performances by top California bluegrass bands and great jamming at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos.
The Northern California Bluegrass Society will present the revival of theĀ Johnson Farm Picking PartyĀ near its original location north of Boulder Creek.Ā The beloved FREE event will return on Saturday, May 16, 2020.

TheĀ Northern California Bluegrass SocietyĀ is now collecting donations for theĀ NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund.
NCBS/SCBSĀ is aĀ Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) Organization.Ā The NCBS Walker Creek Scholarship Fund Committee awards scholarships twice each year to assist deserving students. The next round of scholarships will benefit attendees at the April 16-19, 2020 spring session.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the Spring Brookdale Bluegrass Festival, which will be presented by Brookdale Bluegrass.Ā
The festival has been held since 1998.Ā The April 17-19, 2020 festival will be held at the San Benito County Historical ParkĀ inĀ Tres Pinos.
The Pick & Gather Festival will take place in late May or early June, depending on the peak time for harvest. The 2020 dates will be announced soon.
The relaxed farm, river and music gathering will feature bluegrass and other music, camping, information about farm-to-table food, water quality, organic farming, fruit-picking, swimming in the Merced River and other rural activities.

The annual KKUP Radio Bluegrass Folk & Country Marathon will continue through Midnight on Sunday Evening, February 16. The marathon wrap-up show will be held on Monday, February 17, 6:00-9:00pm. Special thank-you premiums will be available during the marathon.
KKUP is a community radio station with studios in San Jose. The station’s over the air signal at 91.5FM reaches the South Bay & Monterey Bay Areas. The website stream is available at <www.kkup.org>. The station plays more bluegrass music than any other Northern California station.
The marathon will feature numerous live bands and bluegrass radio hosts. The Monday Night Bluegrass wrap-up show is hosted by NCBS Vice-President Mike Russell with live music emcee NCBS President Michael Hall.
