All Bluegrass Folks deserve to be heard in the important 2020 Election that is officially on Tuesday, November 3, but is actually going on right now. Please don’t wait to vote the ballot you received in the mail.

Voting early is important this year, so mail or drop off your ballot for counting just as soon as you are ready. Once you have returned your ballot, you can track its receipt and acceptance online.

Huck Finn Jubilee Will Be Online From Southern California On Sunday October 25, Hangtown Festival Ends Weekend

The virtual 2020 Huck Finn Jubilee Bluegrass Music Festival will be held as an afternoon livestream presentation on Sunday, October 25, 1:00-6:00pm. There are many familiar performers on the eclectic program, including our own Crying Uncle and quite a bit of other excellent bluegrass.

This is the Southern California institution that moved from Victorville to Ontario and now — online. You can choose your own ticket price — so the price is right!

The Hangtown Music festival, usually held in Placerville, will end its virtual weekend presentation on Sunday as well. The eclectic event includes plenty of progressive bluegrass on the bill.

The GOF 2020 Online Festival Is Archived For Your Viewing Enjoyment

If you didn’t have a chance to enjoy it as a livestream, you can still enjoy the 27th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Online that took place on August 8, 2020. The fab line-up was AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Goat Hill Girls, Brookdale Bluegrass Band and Mike Fisher & Joanne Tanner.

This program has been archived and can be viewed online. The Northern California Bluegrass Society presented the virtual substitute show to replace the  festival normally held at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos.

Sidesaddle & Co To Perform Outdoors On October 22 At The Summit House In The Santa Cruz Mountains

Live Bluegrass Music has returned to the Santa Cruz Mountains! It is all outdoors, of course, and with all the Coronavirus safety rules.

Sidesaddle & Co will perform on October 22 as part of the Northern California Bluegrass Society-welcomed Thursday Bluegrass Series, which is presented by the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill at the top of Highway 17, 6 miles south of Los Gatos.

FREE music at the establishment runs 6:00-8:00pm. Good food and drink is served. Beautiful mountain views abound in all directions from the patio.

Northern California Bluegrass Musicians are listed in the NCBS Directory to give Online Lessons. This is a great way for students to support their favorite musicians during the Coronavirus Crisis.

The directory is a FREE service of the Northern California Bluegrass Society. Interested students can check the directory and arrange ONLINE LESSONS with their favorite musicians (the price is between teacher and student). Heads Up Bluegrass Folks — Monday, October 19 Is The Last Day To Register To Vote In California

We want to remind all of our Bluegrass Folks that they deserve to be heard in this important 2020 Election that is officially on Tuesday, November 3, but is actually going on right now as ballots have arrived all across Northern California. If you are registered, don’t wait to vote your ballot. Voting early is important this year, so mail or drop off your ballot for counting just as soon as you are ready.

Regular voter registration ends on Monday, October 19, so act now if you need to register. It is easier to register now and not have to go to the polls, but the usual “Same Day” Voter Registration will be available if you miss the regular deadline.
