27th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Lives On For Your Viewing Enjoyment

The 27th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Online that took place on August 8, 2020 is still available for viewing. The line-up included AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Goat Hill Girls, Brookdale Bluegrass Band and Mike Fisher & Joanne Tanner.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society presented the virtual show to replace the in-person festival normally held at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos. We are looking forward to future in-person gatherings when conditions permit.

 

The Thursday Bluegrass Series At The Summit House Continues With The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers

The Thursday Bluegrass Series, presented by the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill, continues at 23123 Santa Cruz Highway, 6 miles south of Los Gatos  on Highway 17. This FREE outdoor show with limited seating will offer dinner and drinks. Reservations are recommended and strict Coronavirus Rules will be enforced. Music 6:00-8:00pm. All welcomed  by the Northern California Bluegrass Society!

Live Bluegrass Music Returns To Santa Cruz County Every Wednesday & Thursday

Live bluegrass music has begun to return to Santa Cruz County. There are now shows every Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

WEDNESDAYS, Felton Music Hall

An invitational jam featuring various local bluegrass musicians will be held every Wednesday at the Felton Music Hall,  6279 Highway 9, in downtown Felton. Indoors with limited seating, dinner and drinks served beginning at 5:00pm. Dinner reservations are suggested. FREE. Music begins at 6:00pm.

THURSDAYS, Summit House

The NCBS National Bluegrass Stolen & Missing Instrument Page is linked off the left column on this website. This is a FREE Service for both theft victims and used instrument buyers that provides a central reporting location for the recovery of stolen or lost bluegrass instruments.

Musicians should immediately SELF POST information about stolen instruments. Instrument buyers should CHECK the page prior to purchase of any used instrument. The page is searchable and links can be added to connect additional information about the instrument.

The Goat Hill Girls Will Play Live Bluegrass Music At The Summit House On November 5

Live Bluegrass Music has returned to the Santa Cruz MountainsIt is all outdoors, of course, and with all the Coronavirus safety rules. The weekly FREE music at the establishment runs Thursdays 6:00-8:00pm.

The Goat Hill Girls will perform on November 5 as part of the Northern California Bluegrass Society-welcomed Thursday Bluegrass Series, which is presented by the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill at the top of Highway 17, 6 miles south of Los Gatos. Good food and drink is served. Beautiful mountain views abound in all directions from the patio.

Northern California Bluegrass Musicians are listed in the NCBS Directory to give Online Lessons. This is a great way for students to support their favorite musicians during the Coronavirus Crisis. The directory is a FREE service of the Northern California Bluegrass Society.
