This will be a big weekend of bluegrass in Northern California — coming at a time of year when major events are usually few and far between. But not in 2025! We have two good ones for you:
October 17-19 — Strawberry Fall Music Festival, Nevada County Fairgrounds, Grass Valley. This will mark the return of the fall gathering for the first time in 8 years! Great bluegrass including Del McCoury, Laurie Lewis, Becky Buller, and more.
October 13-19 — CBA Fall Campout, Lodi Wine Festival Fairgrounds, Lodi. This event has been going since Monday, but will hit its peak starting Friday. Stop by and say hello to our own Bruce Champion, who will be there to record bands and individual musicians after a long season of hard times. His newly-repaired recording truck is a testament to the generosity of his fellow bluegrassers. (NOTE: The repairs on the truck have been delayed and Bruce will have to miss this event. Dang it!) Plenty of good jamming all around at this gathering.
