At a Los Angeles ceremony this afternoon, the Grammy Award in the bluegrass category was awarded to former NCBS member Molly Tuttle (formerly of Palo Alto and now of Nashville).

The award is for her most recent album City Of Gold, recorded by her band Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway.

This Weekend in Northern California Bluegrass:

The Kathy Kallick Band/Gryphon Quartet concert in Palo Alto on Saturday night February 3 is sold out. The concert is presented by Peninsula Bluegrass and sponsored by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

Palo Alto native and former NCBS member Molly Tuttle is up for a Bluegrass Grammy Award. The ceremony will be held on Sunday afternoon, February 4 in Los Angeles, prior to the evening’s televised official awards show. The afternoon event will be streamed.
