The Scott Valley Bluegrass Festival has been CANCELLED for this year. It will return in 2025. The festival had been set for July 19-21 in the town of Etna, off of I-5 in far Northern California.
The Scott Valley area is near a threatening wildfire and is smoked out.
The popular small-town festival was held for 10 years but has been on hiatus for the past 10 years. The festival was to be revived for 2024. It is presented by Gene Bach.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society has announced the band line-up for the Saturday, July 13 NCBS Gathering Membership & Volunteer Party at Loch Lomond Park near Felton. The bands:

The FREE all-day event will include food & drink, friends, fun, and jamming. It is open to NCBS members and volunteers, and also anyone interested in becoming a member or volunteer. The only cost is a per-car parking fee paid to the park.
Loch Lomond interpretive tours on the “Newell Jewell” pontoon boat will be offered around the lake on Saturday, July 13 from 11:00am-Noon. Tours can accommodate up to 25 people, with sign-ups in the park store. First come, first served. Tours are offered by the park free of charge.
