San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival To Present The California Tallboys & Evie Ladin On October 12 At The Lost Church

TheĀ San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival is back after a four-year hiatus! Shows will happen all overĀ San Francisco onĀ Wednesday-Sunday, October 11-15, 2017.

The SFBOT celebrates the many bluegrass Ā artists in San Francisco and will follow the big, but not mostly bluegrass,Ā Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival that will be held in Golden Gate Park October 6-8. This is your chance to enjoy plenty of real bluegrass bluegrass!

The California Tallboys and Evie Laden will play the second night of the festival on Thursday, October 12 atĀ The Lost Church.

The original SFBOT festival (with a 14-year run starting in 2000) was organized by a quasi-independent committee of theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society.Ā  The revival is a project of several area bluegrass organizations including theĀ California Bluegrass Association, and is welcomed by theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society.

Opening Night At The 2017 San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival To Feature The Bow Ties & Good Not Great

TheĀ San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival will return toĀ San Francisco onĀ Wednesday-Sunday, October 11-15, 2017. The SFBOT shows will be held in various venues. The event celebrates the robust bluegrass community in San Francisco and will follow the big Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival Weekend in the city.

The Bow Ties and Good Not Great will open the festival on Wednesday, October 11 at The Lost Church.

The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers Head For The Summit House This Thursday September 14

The Thursday Bluegrass Series at the top of Highway 17 between Los Gatos and Santa Cruz is held at theĀ Summit House Beer Garden & Grill every Thursday evening.

The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers will perform onĀ September 14. Good drink and good food will be available during the FREE show and the view of the Santa Cruz Mountains is spectacular. TheĀ 6:00-8:30pm program is presented by theĀ The Summit House and welcomed by theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society. Robert Cornelius organizes the series.

San Jose’s Prusch Park To Present FREE Mountain Music Festival On October 1

Welcomed by The Northern California Bluegrass Society.

TheĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes theĀ Mountain Music Festival, set forĀ Sunday, October 1, 2017 atĀ Emma Prusch Farm Park.

The Bands: Bean Creek, The Goat Hills Girls, Sidesaddle & Co, Radio Rail, The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers, Banjo Twins, & The Santa Clara Valley Fiddlers Association.

The FREE, family-oriented festival is presented by theĀ Prusch Farm Park Foundation and theĀ City Of San Jose. It will be held at the park, 647 South King Road, San Jose, near the intersection of Highways 101, 280 & 680.

Deadline For Friday October 13 Women’s Songs Showcase At SFBOT Festival Is Friday September 15

TheĀ San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Festival will return toĀ San Francisco onĀ Wednesday-Sunday, October 11-15, 2017. The SFBOT shows will be held in various SF venues.

On Friday, October 13, The Handsome Ladies will present a showcase of women songwriters and/or songs made famous by women, performed by a variety of singers and musicians backed by The Picks (the Handsome Ladies pick-up band). This event is co-ed and all genders are welcome.

The program will run 7:00-10:00pm at the SOMA Street Food Park, 428 11th Street, San Francisco.

The Deadline for entries isĀ Friday, September 15. Eight performers will be selected at random for the show.
