NCBS To Welcome The 2017 Stanley Sing On March 18 In San Francisco

Welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The Saturday, March 18, 2017 Stanley Sing will be held at a new location — theĀ La Promenade Cafe at 3643 Balboa Street inĀ San Francisco.

The FREEĀ 3:00-10:00pm program is welcomed by theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The bluegrass musicians who stage the show will take turns performing favorite songs ofĀ The Stanley Brothers and related bands.

The performers will includeĀ Windy Hill (Thomas Wille, Ryan Breen), Eric Embry, The Hossettes (Angela Personini, Hailey Pexton, Karen Wilhoyte), Josh Tharp (of Keith Littleā€™s Band), High Country (Larry Cohea, Jim Mintun), Keystone Crossing (Larry Carlin, Claudia Hampe), Bernal Hillbillies (Larry Chung, Bill Foss, Martha Hawthorne, Scot Brenton, Amy Scher), Ted Kuster, Town Howlers (John McKelvy), Chris Smith (The Mighty Crows), Chuck and Jeanieā€™s Country Round Up, Skillet Licorice (Matt Knoth, Elise Engelberg), Tom Diamont, and Paul Shelasky (house fiddler).

The Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society has announced the band line-up for the FREE Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair at the Duck Pond Stage in San Lorenzo Park, next to the courthouse in Santa Cruz.

The Bands: AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Bean Creek, Brookdale Bluegrass Band, The Down Beets, Harmony Grits, and Henry & Ella Warde.

This year’s event will be held on SUNDAY, May 7 (note new date) from Noon to 6:00pm.

NCBS Information Booth Set To Begin 2017 Season In Northern California

TheĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society Information Booth will be at events all during theĀ 2017 Live Music Season inĀ Northern California.

The booth will have flyers and sage advice aboutĀ ALL area festivals, concerts, and workshops (including those events presented by the NCBS itself). The first festival outing for the 2017 season will be the March 10-12 Brookdale Bluegrass Spring Festival in Felton. The booth will appear at approximately 25 events this year (about every two weeks or so).

The service is FREE to both music presenters and music fans.
