The 26th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, a benefit for the Northern California Bluegrass Society, is set for Thursday-Sunday, August 8-11, 2019 near Hollister.

The Brookdale Bluegrass Festivals will be held on December 6, 2018 in Soquel and on April 19-20, 2019 in Tres Pinos.
The events have been presented by Brookdale Bluegrass and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society since 1998.
The headliner for the Winter festival is Freebo (Bonnie Raitt’s bass player) and the headliner for the Spring festival is Mr. RĀ (Bill Monroe’s guitar player).
The western town area of theĀ Paramount Ranch in Augora Hills, longtime home of the Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest & Folk Festival, has been destroyed by the Woolsey Fire.
The bluegrass, old-time and folk festival has been held at various locations in Southern California since 1961, and for the past two decades at the ranch. Topanga is widely regarded as the most influential bluegrass gathering in the Southland. The next event was scheduled for May, 2019.
The ranch has a rich movie and TV set history, hosting the TV program M*A*S*H, Dr. Quinn — Medicine Woman, and most recently,Ā Westworld, among many others.

The 12th Annual Northern California Bluegrass Awards Show will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center Theatre in Redwood City.
The awards show and day-long concert is part of the FREEĀ Bluegrass On Broadway Festival, presented by the Northern California Bluegrass Society with principal financial support from the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission.
The weekend festival will runĀ January 25-27, 2019Ā at various venues in Redwood City.
