Live bluegrass music has begun to return to Santa Cruz County. There are now shows every Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
WEDNESDAYS, Felton Music Hall
An invitational jam featuring various local bluegrass musicians will be held every Wednesday at the Felton Music Hall,Ā 6279 Highway 9, in downtown Felton. Indoors with limited seating, dinner and drinks served beginning at 5:00pm. Dinner reservations are suggested. FREE. Music begins at 6:00pm.

THURSDAYS, Summit House
A show with various local bluegrass bands will be presented every Thursday by the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill, 23123 Santa Cruz Highway, 6 miles south of Los Gatos (at the Summit) on Highway 17. Outdoors with limited seating, dinner and drinks served. Reservations recommended. FREE. Music 6:00-8:00pm. WelcomedĀ by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The Goat Hill Girls will perform on November 5Ā as part of theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society-welcomedĀ Thursday Bluegrass Series,Ā which is presented by theĀ Summit House Beer Garden & GrillĀ at the top ofĀ Highway 17,Ā 6 miles south ofĀ Los Gatos. Good food and drink is served. Beautiful mountain views abound in all directions from the patio.

Well, we think what this election really needs is a good dose of bluegrass thinking. Tuesday, November 3 is the big day. Vote Centers will be open all over Northern California from 7:00am to 8:00pm near where you live or work. The Northern California Bluegrass Society says just go and vote!
You can still enjoy the 27th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Online that took place on August 8, 2020.Ā The line-up: AJ Lee & Blue Summit,Ā Goat Hill Girls,Ā Brookdale Bluegrass Band andĀ Mike Fisher & Joanne Tanner.Ā This program has been archived and can be viewed online. The Northern California Bluegrass Society presented the virtual show to replace the in-person festival normally held at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos.
