NCBS Presented The 27th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Online
TheĀ 27th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Online was presented by the Northern California Bluegrass Society on August 8, 2020.Ā The line-up included AJ Lee & Blue Summit,Ā Goat Hill Girls,Ā Brookdale Bluegrass Band andĀ Mike Fisher & Joanne Tanner.
The virtual show replaced the in-person festival normally held at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos.Ā

The Goat Hill Girls Perform As Bluegrass Returns To The Summit House On February 6
The NCBS-Welcomed Bluegrass Series, presented by the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill, will return after a two-month Coronavirus hiatus on SATURDAY AFTERNOON beginning on February 6, 2:00-4:00pm. The Goat Hill Girls will perform.
This FREE show with limited seating is at 23123 Santa Cruz Highway, 6 miles south of Los Gatos on Highway 17. The Summit House will offer food and drinks. Dress warmly for this afternoon outdoor event.
Reservations are recommendedĀ and Strict Coronavirus Rules will be enforced.

Students/fans can support area musicians during the Coronavirus Pandemic with these lessons.Ā Interested students can check the directory and arrange ONLINE LESSONS with their favorite musicians (the price is between teacher and student). One Day Reminder: IBMA Foundation Arnold Shultz Fund Applications Due On January 31st
One-Day Reminder:Ā January 31, 2021Ā is the deadline for the initial round of applications for theĀ IBMA Foundation Arnold Shultz Fund for diversity that supports bluegrass participation by people of color.
Recipients can be individuals or organizations. Shultz Fund grants can be used to support a wide range of support and outreach initiatives.Ā The NCBS is a longtime organizational member of theĀ International Bluegrass Music Association, which is affiliated with the Foundation. NCBS PresidentĀ Michael HallĀ is a member of theĀ IBMA Foundation Board of Directors.
