Good Old Fashioned Festival Main Stage Band Application Will Be Available On December 1

The NCBS Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Band Committee will have the Main Stage Band Application for the 2024 festival ready to be posted on this website on DECEMBER 1, 2023. Applications will be DUE ON DECEMBER 31, 2023.

The Historic 30th festival will be held August 8-11, 2024 at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos.

FREE 18th Annual Holiday Hootenanny Set For Friday December 8 In San Carlos

NCBS welcomes the FREE 18th Annual Holiday Hootenanny which will kick off December bluegrass fun on Friday, December 8. at 5:00pm. The gathering will be presented by the Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company, 935 Washington Street in San Carlos. 

Our own Scott Dailey hosts this fun bluegrass evening. The Stoney Mountain Ramblers and other bands will perform. Fine beer will be served. A variety of food trucks will be there. There will be space for jamming.

Molly Tuttle Is Nominated For Bluegrass Grammy For “City Of Gold”

Former NCBS member Molly Tuttle, formerly of Palo Alto and now of Nashville, has been nominated for a Grammy Award in the bluegrass category. The nomination is for City Of Gold, recorded by her band Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway.

The other nominees were: Radio John: Songs of John Hartford – Sam Bush, Lovin’ Of The Game – Michael Cleveland, Mighty Poplar – Mighty Poplar, Bluegrass – Willie Nelson, and Me/And/Dad – Billy Strings.

The winner will be announced on February 4, 2024.
