Two Far Northern California Bluegrass Festivals To Be Revived In 2024

Two far Northern California bluegrass festivals will be revived in 2024.  Line-ups have not yet been announced.

JUNE 21-23

The Susanville Bluegrass Festival was cancelled in 2023 but will return in 2024. The event is held at the Lassen County Fairgrounds in Susanville. The long-running event was previously staged by the Lassen County Fair but will now be run by a new nonprofit organization, although most of the organizers (including Dan & Cheryl Douglas) will remain the same.

JULY 19-21

The Scott Valley Bluegrass Festival ran for ten years in the town of Etna following its start in 2004. Ten years later, the revived event will return to the Etna City Park and Gene Bach will return as festival organizer. The gathering was famous for its small-town charm and friendliness.
