Next Brookdale Bluegrass Festival Set For March 9-11, 2018

Since 1998, the Brookdale Bluegrass Festival has been held each March and December in the San Lorenzo Valley. TheĀ festivals are presented byĀ Brookdale Bluegrass and are welcomed by theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society.

However, there will be noĀ Winter Brookdale Bluegrass Festival this year. The next Brookdale gathering will be theĀ Spring 2018 Brookdale Bluegrass Festival to be heldĀ March 9-11 on theĀ Felton/Ben Lomond border at theĀ Mt. Cross Camp. This was the popular venue for last year’s spring event.

The Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company Holiday Hootenanny has announced that The Stoney Mountain Ramblers (Menlo Park) and Cryin’ Shame (La Honda) will be among the bands performing at the 13th annual gathering inĀ San Carlos onĀ Friday, December 15, 2017.

The 4:00-11:00pm event is presented byĀ Devil’s Canyon and organized byĀ Scott Dailey.

NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund Now Accepting Donations To Assist Spring Students

TheĀ Spring Walker Creek Music Camp will be held at theĀ Walker Creek Ranch nearĀ Petaluma April 12-15, 2018.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund is now collecting donations for the camp to assist students who need financial help. This Thursday AJ Lee & Blue Summit Will Perform At The Summit House Near Los Gatos

TheĀ Thursday Bluegrass Series at theĀ Summit House Beer Garden & Grill on Highway 17 has FREE bluegrassĀ every week.

OnĀ November 16,Ā AJ Lee & Blue Summit from Santa Cruz will perform.

TheĀ 6:00-8:30pm performances are presented by theĀ The Summit House and welcomed by theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society. Good food and drink will be served.

There will be no performance on Thanksgiving evening. Bluegrass music will return on November 30.
