The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the Third Annual Berkeley Bluegrass Festival this weekend.

The only bluegrass festival in the East Bay will be held at the Freight & Salvage Coffee House in Berkeley on May 18-20. Full festival and individual show tickets are available.

Here is the schedule:

FRIDAY, May 18 — Laurie Lewis and the Right Hands with Molly Tuttle, Sean Watkins with the Bee Eaters, Crying Uncle, plus Fog Holler.

SATURDAY, May 19 — Molly Tuttle Band, Phantoms of the High Country, Jeff Scroggins and Colorado, plus Bluegrass Pride.

SUNDAY, May 20 — Darol Anger’s Blur-Grass All-Stars, The Get Down Boys, The Page Turners with Bill Evans and Max Schwartz, plus North Country Blue.

The Green Music Center at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park will present its 4th annual bluegrass festival on Sunday, July 15. The event is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The Bluegrass & Craft Beer Festival will feature Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands, and Phoebe Hunt & The Gatherers.

The indoor/outdoor afternoon of music will take place on campus at the elegant Weill Hall & Lawn.

The Third Annual Berkeley Bluegrass Festival, featuring fiddler Darol Anger’s Blur-Grass All-Stars, will be presented by the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley on May 18-20, 2018.

SATURDAY, May 19 — Molly Tuttle Band, Phantoms of the High Country, Jeff Scroggins and Colorado (plus Bluegrass Pride).

SUNDAY, May 20 — Darol Anger’s Blur-Grass All-Stars, The Get Down Boys, The Page Turners with Bill Evans and Max Schwartz (plus North Country Blue).

A full festival ticket is available, or tickets can be purchased for each night’s show.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society will welcome the 14th Annual Pick & Gather Festival, set for May 26-28 in Livingston (near Merced).

The Memorial Day Weekend bluegrass music (and beyond) and farm-to-table gathering will be presented by Riverdance Farms.

The relaxed weekend will feature a wide variety of music along with the chance to pick your own blueberries, cherries, and strawberries.

Camping in the walnut orchard is available, while swimming and other Merced River activities will be available.

Sonoma State University’s Green Music Center will present its annual bluegrass festival on Sunday, July 15, 2018.

The FREE Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series will present The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers on May 10 from 6:00-8:30pm.

The view at the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill (top of Highway 178 miles south of Los Gatos) is worth the trip even without the music. Good food and drink will be served.
