Four Week Reminder: The Discount Advance Ticket Deadline is July 22, 2018 for theĀ 25th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, August 9-12.
The benefit festival supports the year-round work of theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society in promoting bluegrass in theĀ San Francisco Bay Area, theĀ Monterey Bay Area, and all ofĀ Northern California. The event will be held at theĀ San Benito County Historical Park inĀ Tres Pinos (7 miles south ofĀ Hollister).
CBA Bluegrass Pride Parade Float To Feature Della Mae On June 24 In San Francisco
TheĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the second annual California Bluegrass Association Bluegrass Pride Float in theĀ San Francisco LGBTQ Pride Parade onĀ Sunday, June 24, 2018 which will run down Market Street in San Francisco.
The nationally-touring bluegrass bandĀ Della Mae will perform on the float and a bluegrass jam will follow the parade. The purpose of the parade entry is to welcome everyone to enjoy bluegrass music in Northern California.
Last year’s CBA Pride Float won first prize in the over-1000 unit parade.
The 2018 unit is also sponsored by the International Bluegrass Music Association.

NCBS Welcomes Phoebe Hunt To The 4th Annual SSU Bluegrass & Craft Beer Festival In Rohnert Park On July 15
The 4th AnnualĀ Bluegrass & Craft Beer Festival at theĀ Green Music Center, Sonoma State University will present Phoebe Hunt & The Gatherers inĀ Rohnert Park onĀ Sunday July 15, 2018.
The bluegrass music program will take place on campus at the beautiful indoor-outdoor venue Weill Hall & Lawn. Seating is available both in the symphony hall and on the lawn beyond the open rear wall.
Also performing: Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder and Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands.

The August 9-12, 2018 event is a benefit for theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society.
Jubilee’s Teo Quale just won the National Fiddle Championship in his age group at the contest in Weiser, ID.
