This Friday evening December 15 will be a big one for bluegrass in San Carlos & San Francisco! The NCBS will welcome two events to our area:

BRIGHT STAR, San Francisco

The Steve Martin-Edie Brickell-penned Americana/Bluegrass musical Bright Star will enjoy a special night at the Curran Theater in San Francisco on December 15, with several local bluegrass bands playing before and after the regular program.

HOLIDAY HOOTENANNY, San Carlos

The 13th Annual Holiday Hootenanny will be presented by the Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company in San Carlos, with four great bands playing onstage from 5:00-11:00pm on December 15, with additional performances and jamming taking place throughout the evening.

This is a FREE event, with craft beer and food available.

The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers At The Summit House This Thursday, December 14

The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers at the Summit House.

The Wildcat Mountain Rambers, host band for the FREE Thursday Bluegrass Series at the top of Highway 17 in the Santa Cruz Mountains, will perform on December 14th. Good food and drink will be served.

The Summit House Beer Garden & Grill has FREE bluegrass each week starting at 6:00pm. All performances are presented by the The Summit House and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

Second Stage Added To This Year’s FREE Holiday Hootenanny In San Carlos On December 15

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the 13th Annual Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company Holiday Hootenanny in San Carlos on Friday, December 15, 2017. Doors will open at 4:00pm.

This year, for the first time, the program will feature two stages. Main Stage Bands will include The Brookdale Bluegrass Band, The Stoney Mountain Ramblers, Pathertic Honey String Band, & John Henry’s Farm. The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers will perform on the Second Stage.

The FREE late afternoon & evening gathering will offer fine craft beer and good food.

The event is presented by Devil’s Canyon and organized by Scott Dailey.
