Lifetime Achievement Award Honorees Announced For 12th Annual Northern California Bluegrass Awards

The Northern California Bluegrass Society will honor unsung heroes with Lifetime Achievement Awards at theĀ 12th Annual Northern California Bluegrass Awards ShowĀ to be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center Theatre in Redwood City.

The honorees areĀ Colleen Conley, Mike Fisher, Linzey Hill, Brenda Hough, Darlene Janine Walker,Ā Debbie Weiner, andĀ Randy Weisendanger. All have contributed to the area bluegrass community in important ways for many years with little recognition.

The awards show and day-long concert is part of the FREEĀ Bluegrass On Broadway Festival, presented by the Northern California Bluegrass Society with principal financial support from the Redwood City Civic Cultural CommissionĀ and other Redwood City area organizations and individuals.

Stoney Mountain Ramblers Set For Summit House Performance On November 29

The NCBS-welcomed Thursday Bluegrass Series at the Summit House continues On November 29 with a performance by the Stoney Mountain Ramblers. The FREE program will run 6:00-8:30pm. Good food and drink will be served.

The Summit House Beer Garden & Grill presents this weekly series at the top of Highway 17, 6 miles south of Los Gatos.

Coming: The Goat Hill Girls on December 6, The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers on December 13, and Blue Summit on December 20.

Five Week Reminder:Ā Band ApplicationsĀ for bands wanting to play the Main Stage areĀ DUE ON DECEMBER 31Ā for theĀ 26th Annual Northern California Bluegrass Society’s Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival.

The fun, friendly gathering will be held at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos onĀ August 8-11, 2019.

The Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company will presentĀ theĀ 14th Annual Holiday Hootenanny at theĀ brewery, 935 Washington Street, San Carlos. The FREEĀ 5:00pm show will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes this fun seasonal gathering, which is organized by Scott Dailey.

Winter Brookdale Bluegrass Festival Is Set For Thursday December 6 In Soquel

TheĀ Winter Brookdale Bluegrass FestivalĀ is presented by Brookdale BluegrassĀ and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The Thursday Evening, December 6, 2018 gathering will bring the Wildcat Mountain Ramblers,Ā Freebo & Alice Howe & The Brookdale Bluegrass BandĀ  Ā to the stage.

The event will be held at Michael’s On Main in Soquel for the first time. The festivals have been held twice each year since 1998.
