Summit House To Present The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers On July 11 In The Santa Cruz Mountains

The Summit House Beer Garden & Grill, high in the Santa Cruz Mountains (on Highway 17, 6 miles south of Los Gatos) presents a FREE weekly Thursday Bluegrass Series, which is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers will perform on July 11. Showtime is 6:00-8:30pm. Good food and drink will be served.

First Stage Performance Schedule Announced For August 8-11 Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival

The Northern California Bluegrass Society has announced the Performance Schedule for the First Stage on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the 26th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival. The festival will run August 8-11 at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos.

FRIDAY, August 9

10:00am — The Open Heart Strings (Santa Cruz)

11:00 — Home Stilled String Band (Sacramento)

Noon — Mood Swing (Los Angeles)

1:00pm — Festival Speed (Marin)

The First Stage performances will take place inside the Palmtag Cutting Shed at the south end of the Historical Village. Both bands and audience will enjoy the shade. Sound by AJ Lee. Amy Warren Novak will host.

The Main Stage performances will immediately follow beginning at 3:00pm.

Oakland’s Wendy Burch Steel & Redwood will perform  on the main stage at the 26th Annual NCBS Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival at the San Benito County Historical Park on August 8-11, 2019.

The event in the lovely hamlet of Tres Pinos  benefits the work of the Northern California Bluegrass Society.  The non-profit organization serves the San Francisco Bay Area, the Monterey Bay Area, and all of Northern California.

The Dawg Trio Set To Perform At The Sonoma State University Bluegrass Festival On July 21

The Dawg Trio led by David Grisman is set to perform at the Sonoma State University Bluegrass Festival to be held at Weill Hall & Lawn at the Green Music Center in Rohnert Park.

Indoor and outdoor seating will be available at the Sunday afternoon, July 21 event. The festival is welcomed by The Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The Steep Canyon Rangers will also perform. Even more bluegrass music can be heard at the separately-ticketed Craft Beer Festival at the same location just before the main festival.

Ben Greenberg (Los Angeles) will perform for the first time on the main stage at the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival at the San Benito County Historical Park on August 8-11, 2019.

The event in Tres Pinos (7 miles south of Hollister) benefits the work of the Northern California Bluegrass Society to bring more bluegrass music to the San Francisco Bay Area, the Monterey Bay Area, and throughout Northern California.
