Nominations honoringĀ Northern Californiaās primarily non-touring bluegrass bands & musiciansĀ are being accepted in 9 categories:Ā Band, Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Fiddle, Dobro, andĀ Bass. Paper nomination forms will be available at theĀ NCBS Information BoothĀ at fall events and e-mail nominations can be sent toĀ Michael Hall. Each member may nominate up to 3 in each category.
NCBS members will receive two rounds of ballots over the winter. The awards ceremony will be held onĀ January 25, 2020Ā as part of the FREEĀ NCBS Bluegrass On Broadway FestivalĀ inĀ Redwood City.
The awards show andĀ January 24-26Ā festival are supported by a base grant from theĀ Redwood City Arts CommissionĀ and by other Redwood City-area businesses, agencies, and organizations.
The Northern California Bluegrass Society is now accepting donations for the NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund. The Society committee that manages the fund will award scholarships for deserving students at the Fall 2019 Walker Creek Music Camp, set for November 1-4.
NCBS is a Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) Organization.Ā The camp is run each spring and fall byĀ Ingrid NoyesĀ at theĀ Walker Creek Ranch, Petaluma.Ā
