Mark Twain’s River Of Song Continues Through October 27 in Mountain View

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes TheatreWorks Silicon Valley’s performance of the Bluegrass/Americana musical Mark Twain’s River Of Song which will continue six days each week through October 27, 2019 at the Mountain View Center For The Performing Arts.

The show was written by Randal Myler & Dan Wheetman (the latter familiar to NCBS fans due to his Marley’s Ghost fame).Ā  The stories of Mark Twain and plenty of our kind of music make this an enjoyable evening of musical theatre for area bluegrass fans.

Thursday Bluegrass Music Continues In October At The Summit House Near Los Gatos

The Northern California Bluegrass Society-welcomedĀ Thursday Bluegrass SeriesĀ continues in October atĀ the Summit House Beer Garden & GrillĀ at the top ofĀ Highway 17,Ā 6 miles south of Los Gatos. TheĀ FREE music runs 6:00-8:30pm. Good food and drink is served. Beautiful mountain views abound.Ā The Goat Hill Girls will perform on October 3.

Coming: October 10 — Wildcat Mountain Ramblers; October 17 — Blue Summit.

Bright Star Musical Closing Performance Is On Sunday September 29

The Steve Martin-Edie Brickell-penned Americana/Bluegrass musical Bright Star at the Lucie Stern Center Theater in Palo Alto closes on Sunday, September 29.Ā The Palo Alto Players are presenting this show and tickets are still available.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes thisĀ  event to our area. Dan Mazer performs on banjo with the show’s orchestra.

Area bluegrass performers will ensure a pleasant start for each performance with the sounds of jamming outside in the Stern Center courtyard before the formal show begins inside the theater.
