16-19 — Walker Creek Music Camp, Walker Creek Ranch, Petaluma (NCBS welcomed). Cancelled. (May be held as virtual event.)

17-19 — Brookdale Bluegrass Festival, San Benito County Historical Park, Tres Pinos (NCBS welcomed). Cancelled.

MAY

3 — NCBS/SCBS Presents The Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair, Duck Pond Stage, San Lorenzo Park, Santa Cruz. Postponed or Cancelled.

16 — NCBS Presents The Johnson Farm Picking Party, Johnson Farm, Boulder Creek. Postponed or Cancelled.

AUGUST

6-9 — NCBS Presents The Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, San Benito County Historical Park, Tres Pinos. As scheduled, pending final decision in early June.

NCBS Announces That Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Will Take Place As Scheduled August 6-9, 2020 — Subject To Review

The Northern California Bluegrass Society and the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival are supportive of our bluegrass community and especially our musicians, many of whom rely on small festivals for their livelihood. The GOF is scheduled to take place August 6-9, 2020 at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos. NCBS will continue to monitor public health recommendations with the hope that by this summer that the Coronavirus Pandemic has ended. Look for our next update the First Week Of June. The festival may be postponed or cancelled. NCBS will refund the price of all tickets purchased prior to the first week of June if  the festival is not held or if the ticketholder is not able to attend on the rescheduled date.

Berkeley Bluegrass Festival & Walker Creek Music Camp Cancelled

The Freight & Salvage has announced that, due to the threat of the Coronavirus, the April 2-5, 2020 Berkeley Bluegrass Festival has been Cancelled.

Camp Director Ingrid Noyes has announced that, due to the threat of the Coronavirus, the April 16-19 Walker Creek Music Camp has been Cancelled.

Both of these events were welcomed to our area by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund Now Collecting Spring 2020 Donations

The Northern California Bluegrass Society is now collecting donations for the NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship FundNCBS/SCBS is a Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) Organization.

The NCBS Walker Creek Scholarship Fund Committee awards scholarships twice each year to assist deserving students. The next round of scholarships will benefit attendees at the April 16-19, 2020 spring session.
