You can write off up to $300 in cash donations on your tax return when you file your 2020 tax return next spring, even if you do not itemize. As of January 1, 2021, you will be required to itemize deductions to write off charitable giving when you file your taxes.

Northern California Bluegrass Society members and their friends are encouraged to apply for a grant from the new IBMA Foundation Arnold Shultz Fund that supports bluegrass participation by people of color. The deadline for the initial round of applications is January 31, 2021.
Grants can be used to support a wide range of creative initiatives. The NCBS is a longtime organizational member of the International Bluegrass Music Association, which is affiliated with the Foundation. NCBS President Michael Hall is a member of the IBMA Foundation Board of Directors.

The 27th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Online took place on August 8, 2020. The line-up included AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Goat Hill Girls, Brookdale Bluegrass Band and Mike Fisher & Joanne Tanner.
The Northern California Bluegrass Society presented the virtual show that replaced the in-person festival normally held at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos. We missed seeing everyone in person! Meanwhile, here is the link for viewing the archived program online:
