The deadline for Tax-Deductible Contributions for this year is December 31, 2022.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society can be a part of your year-end tax planning as it accepts donations to support Local Bluegrass Music in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Monterey Bay Area, and all of Northern California. The Society is a California Not-For-Profit Corporation with Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) status that is also known as the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society. NCBS Welcomes The 17th Annual Holiday Hootenanny On December 9

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the 17th Annual Holiday Hootenanny at the Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company, 935 Washington Street, San Carlos on Friday, December 9, 2022 beginning at 4:00pm.

The FREE event is organized by Scott Dailey. The Stoney Mountain Ramblers, The Brookdale Bluegrass Band, and other fine bluegrass bands will perform.

Molly Tuttle Is Nominated For Bluegrass Album Grammy & First For Best New Artist

Former Northern California Bluegrass Society member Molly Tuttle, now of Nashville, has been nominated for the Best Bluegrass Album Award for her album Crooked Tree in the Grammys and is the first bluegrass artist to be nominated for Best New Artist across all categories.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society is 40 years old in 2022. The organization was founded as the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society in 1982.

Jeff Bezos Awards $100 Million Dollars To Dolly Parton For Her Charitable Donations

Jeff Bezos has named Bluegrass/Country Singer, Songwriter, Author, and Philanthropist Dolly Parton as the 2022 recipient of his Courage and Charities Award, as an individual who “leads with her heart.” The award “recognizes leaders who aim high, find solutions, and always do it with civility.”

The $100 Million Dollar Award can go to any organization(s) of Parton’s choice. Bezos said that Parton was honored for all that “she’s done for kids, literacy, and so many other things.”
