It appears that vaccine requirements are becoming standard at most bluegrass events. Due to the spread of the Delta Variant of the Covid 19 Virus, bluegrass fans are increasingly unwilling to attend bluegrass events where unvaccinated persons are also permitted to attend. On a forward-going basis, proof of vaccine status will be required to attend most events.
Covid 19 Vaccines are FREE and WIDELY AVAILABLE. The vaccine process requires one to two months to complete, so advance planning is advised if you are planning to attend any live, in-person bluegrass music events in the future.

It’s time for bluegrass folks in California to make sure they are registered and ready to make their voice heard in the next election on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
Mail ballots will be sent to all registered California voters on August 16, 2021 (only 3 weeks away). Mailing in your ballot is the easiest way to vote, so NOW is the time to update your file, so you will automatically get a ballot.
After over a year off, Live Bluegrass Music will return to the KKUP Radio airwaves on Monday Night Bluegrass, 6:00-9:00pm on June 28, 2021. Mike Russell is the longtime program host. He will be joined by live music emcee Michael Hall.
KKUP is at 91.5FM in the South Bay and Monterey Bay areas, and online at <www.kkup.org>.
Eric Burman & The Brookdale Bluegrass Band will play live in the studio. During the show, there will be complete information about two upcoming live, in-person bluegrass events at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos:
—
Saturday, July 10 — The NCBS Gathering, FREE with jamming, picnicking, and bluegrass bands onstage. This is a chance to hang out with friends you haven’t seen in a while — and play some music together (or just listen). No more streaming — this is the real thing! Presented by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.
Friday-Sunday, August 13-15 — The Brookdale Bluegrass Festival, usually held in April, will be held in August this year (only). The real thing is back: camping, jamming, and plenty of great stage music. Presented by Brookdale Bluegrass and welcomed by NCBS.
This will be a fun evening of bluegrass radio. Tune In and Turn On!
