The Pisgah Banjo Company of Asheville, North Carolina is holding a special banjo raffle this month to benefit the Arnold Shultz Fund. This year $10,000 of these funds will be gifted to the Black Banjo Reclamation Project to support a gourd banjo building workshop in the black banjo community.

Covid Shots Will Be Required For The 2022 Bluegrass Season — Now Is The Time To Prepare

During the 2022 bluegrass music season, Covid Vaccines will be required for almost all events by almost all presenters in Northern California. This includes events presented by NCBS, such as the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival.

Many events will also require any appropriate Booster Shots.

Plan ahead to avoid missing any of your favorite live gatherings. The vaccines are FREE and WIDELY AVAILABLE. However, it will take several months to get all of the shots, so do not delay.

Next IBMA Leadership Bluegrass Class Will Be Held In 2023

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, the International Bluegrass Music Association will not hold a 2022 Leadership Bluegrass program. The 2021 class was also cancelled due to Covid. The class will return March 6-8, 2023 in Nashville.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society is a longtime organizational member of the IBMA. Students selected for the planned 2022 class will attend in 2023. NCBS Members are encouraged to apply in the fall of 2023 for the 2024 class.

Now Is The Time To Get Vaccinated For The Upcoming 2022 Bluegrass Season

Now is the time to get ready for the return of live bluegrass music in the upcoming festival season. In 2022, Proof Of Vaccination for the Covid 19 Virus will be needed in order to attend Northern California Bluegrass Society events. This requirement will also be in effect for all or almost all bluegrass events in Northern California this year.

The required vaccines are FREE and WIDELY AVAILABLE.
