The 31st festival is a benefit for the Northern California Bluegrass Society.
The Northern California Bluegrass Society has announced that “Cactus Bob” Cole & “The Prairie Flower” Chris Stevenson will perform on the Lantern Stage at the Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival. The stage will start at dusk on Thursday, August 7 to start the August 7-10 gathering.

MAY 22-25 — Strawberry Spring Music Festival, Nevada County Fairgrounds, Grass Valley. Our own Brianna Colliard is on the bill. (Note: Limited ticket availability)
MAY 23-25 — Pick & Gather Festival, Riverdance Farms, Livingston. Our own Eric Burman & The Brookdale Bluegrass Band is on the bill.
The annual NCBS Gathering Membership & Volunteer Party will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Live Oak Grange in Santa Cruz.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society has announced that Alan Bond & Skeedaddle will perform on a new stage that has been added to the August 7-10, 2025 Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival.
The maiden presentation of the Songwriters Stage will be held on Friday, August 8 following the conclusion of the Main Stage show. Bruce Champion and his famed Recording Truck will host the stage, which will be near the main audience area. Throughout the festival, songwriters can record and obtain a complimentary recording of their performances.
The 31-year-old festival will now present music on these stages: Main Stage, ‘Tweener Stage, First Stage, Saturday Night Dance Stage, Lantern Stage, and Songwriters Stage. The festival camp will be filled with Jamming at all hours of the day and night.
