The Northern California Bluegrass Society, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization aka the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society, accepts donations and disburses scholarships. Donations to the fund, run by a NCBS committee, are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Donors should consult their tax advisors. The Federal Tax ID No. is 94-2907716.
Donors who do not need a tax deduction may donate money directly to the camp. Information: Walker Creek Music Camp, Ingrid Noyes runs the camp, which is held each spring and fall. The camp is open to adults and children.
The bluegrass band Hidden Still is set to perform at The Summit House at the top of Highway 17, 6 miles south of Los Gatos, on Thursday, December 22, 2016.
The popular FREE bluegrass series began in January and is the home of bluegrass music in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Music will run 6:00-8:30pm in a program welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society and presented by the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill, 23123 Santa Cruz Highway, Los Gatos 95033.
Excellent food and drink will be served during the performance and the view will be endless for early arrivals.

The FREE Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series continues this week with the Santa Cruz band Heathen Hill. The lovely Santa Cruz Mountains views await us at the top of Highway 17, six miles south of Los Gatos.
The top quality weekly series runs every Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill.
The shows are presented by the Summit House and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society. Good food and drink will be served. This is a nice place for music. Thanks to Robert Cornelius for making the shows happen.
The Northern California Bluegrass Society has announced that four bluegrass sound engineers will be presented with Lifetime Achievement Awards on January 28, 2017.
The honorees are: Paul Knight, David Nielsen, Mike Russell, & Joe Weed.
The Northern California Bluegrass Awards Show & Concert will be held as part of the 10th Annual NCBS Bluegrass On Broadway Festival in Redwood City.
The FREE festival is supported by a base grant from the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission and by other Redwood City-area businesses, organization, and individuals. BOB events will take place on Friday & Saturday, January 27 & 28 and on Monday, January 30.
Host bands from two Northern California Bluegrass Society-welcomed events will perform live December 12 on Monday Night Bluegrass on KKUP Radio, 91.5FM in the South Bay & Monterey Bay Areas and Online.
The Stoney Mountain Ramblers (Menlo Park) host the annual Holiday Hootenanny at the Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company in San Carlos. The band will play on air and discuss the FREE 2016 multi-band gathering, set for this Friday evening, December 16.
The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers (Los Gatos) host the year-old Thursday Bluegrass Series at the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill near Los Gatos. The band will play live on air and discuss the FREE weekly performances featuring various bluegrass bands in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
The host of Monday Night Bluegrass is Mike Russell. Michael Hall will be on hand to interview the bands. The program will run 6:00-9:00pm.
