TheĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society will welcome theĀ California Bluegrass Association Bluegrass Pride Float in the San Francisco LGBTQ Pride Parade onĀ Sunday, June 25, 2017 inĀ San Francisco.
Three bluegrass bands led by Laurie Lewis, Suzy Thompson, andĀ AJ Lee & Dana Frankel will perform on the CBA parade float itself and aĀ Marching Unit Open To Bluegrass Fans of any sexual orientation will follow. If you are not able to walk in the parade, you can make a reservation to ride on a FREE bluegrass scooter (arranged byĀ Deirdre Donovan).
The parade entry will encourage everyone to enjoy bluegrass music in Northern California and everyone is also invited to the open bluegrass jam that will follow the parade. Bring your instrument and join in!

The Mark O’Connor Family Band is set to perform at theĀ 3rd Annual Sonoma State University Bluegrass Festival on the SSU campusĀ inĀ Rohnert Park onĀ Sunday, July 9, 2017.
The afternoon line-up also includes the Del & Dawg Bluegrass Band andĀ Sierra Hull.
The festival, which is headlined and booked each year by Petaluma resident David Grisman, will take place atĀ TheĀ Weill Hall & Lawn, Green Music Center and is a great place for a picnic.
