The event is presented by Devil’s Canyon and organized by Scott Dailey. The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes this FREE bluegrass party.

Next Brookdale Bluegrass Festival Set For March 9-11, 2018

Since 1998, the Brookdale Bluegrass Festival has been held each March and December in the San Lorenzo Valley. The festivals are presented by Brookdale Bluegrass and are welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

However, there will be no Winter Brookdale Bluegrass Festival this year. The next Brookdale gathering will be the Spring 2018 Brookdale Bluegrass Festival to be held March 9-11 on the Felton/Ben Lomond border at the Mt. Cross Camp. This was the popular venue for last year’s spring event.

The Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company Holiday Hootenanny has announced that The Stoney Mountain Ramblers (Menlo Park) and Cryin’ Shame (La Honda) will be among the bands performing at the 13th annual gathering in San Carlos on Friday, December 15, 2017.

The 4:00-11:00pm event is presented by Devil’s Canyon and organized by Scott Dailey.

NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund Now Accepting Donations To Assist Spring Students

The Spring Walker Creek Music Camp will be held at the Walker Creek Ranch near Petaluma April 12-15, 2018.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund is now collecting donations for the camp to assist students who need financial help. Donations can be sent to: Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society, PO Box 390846, Mountain View, CA 94039-0846, Attn: NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization aka the Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society, accepts donations and disburses the scholarships.

This Thursday AJ Lee & Blue Summit Will Perform At The Summit House Near Los Gatos

The Thursday Bluegrass Series at the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill on Highway 17 has FREE bluegrass every week.

On November 16AJ Lee & Blue Summit from Santa Cruz will perform.

The 6:00-8:30pm performances are presented by the The Summit House and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society. Good food and drink will be served.

There will be no performance on Thanksgiving evening. Bluegrass music will return on November 30.

The 2018 Santa Cruz Bluegrass Fair is set for Saturday, May 5 at the Duck Pond Stage in San Lorenzo Park, Santa Cruz.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society has brought this FREE gathering to downtown Santa Cruz in early May every year since 1986.
