NCBS Welcomes Americana/Bluegrass Musical Bright Star To The Curran Theater In San Francisco

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the Steve Martin-Edie Brickell-penned Americana/Bluegrass musical Bright Star to the Curran Theater in San Francisco.

The production runs through December 17.

There will be special after-show performances by area bluegrass bands each Friday night (December 1, 8, & 15).

The additional performers for Friday, December 1 include Big Money in Bluegrass, Jed’s A Millionaire, & Beats Workin’.

The 1922 Curran reopened its 1,600 seat venue in January 2017 after a complete renovation.

NCBS Welcomes The 13th Annual Holiday Hootenannny At The Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company

The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the 13th Annual Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company Holiday Hootenanny in San Carlos on Friday, December 15, 2017. Doors will open at 4:00pm.

The event is presented by Devil’s Canyon and organized by Scott Dailey.

Five bluegrass bands, including The Stoney Mountain Ramblers, Cryin’ Shame, and The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers, will perform for the FREE late afternoon & evening gathering, which will offer fine craft beer and good food.

FREE NCBS Bluegrass On Broadway Festival Set For Last Weekend Of January In Redwood City

The FREE 2018 Bluegrass On Broadway Festival will be held the last weekend of January (26-28) in Redwood City. The festival has been presented by the Northern California Bluegrass Society each year since 2008.

Principal financial support for the festival comes from the Redwood City community, including the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission.
