The Mountain Music Festival is set for the Emma Prusch Farm Park in San Jose on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Here is All You Need To Know To Go:

The Festival: A fun day of bluegrass music and a fall harvest festival held at San Jose’s only remaining farm. This is just about the Most Convenient, Lowest Cost, Highest Quality way to enjoy some bluegrass music in the South Bay. This is San Jose’s ONLY bluegrass festival.

Cost: FREE.

Food: There will be plenty available for purchase or you can bring your own picnic.

Directions: The park is at 647 King Road, San Jose near the 101/280/680 interchange. Take the King Road exit off the 880 freeway and go south. The park is on the right. There is plenty of free and easy parking.

Winter Brookdale Bluegrass Festival Set For December 6 In Soquel

Freebo is set for Brookdale Winter Gathering.

The December 6, 2018 Winter Brookdale Bluegrass Festival, presented by Brookdale Bluegrass, is set for Michael’s On Main in Soquel.

All Brookdale festivals since 1998 have been welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society. The events have been held all over the Santa Cruz area. (Recently, the springtime fests only have been held in Tres Pinos.)

The performers will include Freebo & Alice Howe, The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers, & The Brookdale Bluegrass Band.

The one-day gathering is presented by Brookdale Bluegrass, and will take place for the first time at Michael’s On Main, 2591 Main St,
Soquel.

Earthbelly Restaurant To Host FREE Wednesday Bluegrass Shows In Santa Cruz

The Earthbelly Restaurant (Ocean at Soquel, Santa Cruz) is hosting FREE regular Wednesday evening 6:00-9:00pm bluegrass music shows.

The new venue is presenting a line-up of Santa Cruz area bands. The schedule began in mid-September, but is still being finalized. Check with organizer Robert Cornelius or the venue for performance details. The new series is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The Goat Hill Girls Play The Thursday Bluegrass Series At The Summit House On October 4

The Goat Hill Girls will perform as part of the FREE Thursday Bluegrass Series at the Summit House at the top of the Santa Cruz Mountains on Highway 17 on Thursday, October 4 from 6:00-8:30pm.

The Goat Hill Girls at the Summit House

The Summit House Beer Garden & Grill, 6 miles south of Los Gatos, has presented the series since January 2016. The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the shows. Food and drink will be served during the performance and a fun time will be had by all.

Coming Soon: The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers on October 11, and Blue Summit on October 18.

Prusch Park Will Host San Jose’s Only Bluegrass Festival On Sunday, October 7

The Mountain Music Festival, presented by the Emma Prusch Park Foundation & The City of San Jose, will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018.

The 10:00am-5:00pm event is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The day will feature a day of bucolic fun at San Jose’s only remaining farm (now park). In addition to a full day of fun, high quality bluegrass music, there will be a big harvest festival, food, and activities of interest to families.

New Bluegrass Venue In Santa Cruz: The Earthbelly Restaurant FREE Wednesday Night Series

A brand new Santa Cruz bluegrass venue is now hosting regular Wednesday evening 6:00-9:00pm shows.

The Earthbelly Restaurant (Ocean at Soquel) is bringing us a line-up of Monterey Bay Area bluegrass bands. The schedule began in mid-September, but is still being finalized. Check with organizer Robert Cornelius or the venue for performance details.
