The Northern Calfornia Bluegrass Society has announced the nominees for the 2017 Northern California Bluegrass Awards. The awards show will be held on January 28, 2017 as part of the weekend-long 10th Annual NCBS Bluegrass On Broadway Festival in Redwood City.

The Edgewood Mountain Boys Set For Freewheel Brewing Company On January 28

The Edgewood Mountan Boys will perform as part of the Northern California Bluegrass Society’s 10th Annual Bluegrass On Broadway Festival on Saturday evening, January 28, 2017 at theĀ Freewheel Brewing Company.

The energetic “roaming hillbilly” band Ā is from Redwood City and has emerged as the Peninsula’s hottest new bluegrass band over the past year.

The weekend-long FREE festival will be held at various venues inĀ Redwood CityĀ and is principally-financed by a grant from theĀ Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society’s 10th Annual Bluegrass On Broadway Festival will presentĀ The Stoney Mountain Ramblers on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Freewheel Brewing Company.

The weekend-long FREE event will be held at various venues in Redwood City and is principally-financed by a grant from the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission.

27strings will perform atĀ Gourmet Haus Staudt,Ā 2615 Broadway inĀ Redwood City on Saturday evening,Ā January 28, 2017, 6:00-8:30pm.

The show will be part of the FREEĀ Bluegrass On Broadway Festival presented by theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The 10th annual event will be heldĀ January 27-29 at various Redwood City venues with principal financial support from theĀ Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission, theĀ Redwood City Public Library, theĀ Redwood City Department of Parks Recreation & Community Services, andĀ John Dabney.

One Day Reminder: Nominations for theĀ 10th Annual Northern California Bluegrass Awards are due tomorrow, Saturday, October 8, 2016.

Categories: Band, Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Fiddle, Dobro, & Bass. The awards honor primarily non-touring Northern California bluegrass bands and musicians. Each person may nominateĀ up to three in each category.

For your convenience, nominations may be made by E-Mail.

NCBS Members will receive two rounds of ballots, then the FREE Northern California Bluegrass Awards Show & Concert will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017, as part of the Northern California Bluegrass Society’sĀ Bluegrass On Broadway Festival in Redwood City. The festival is supported by a base grant from the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission, and by other Redwood City area individuals, businesses, organizations and agencies.
