Brookdale Bluegrass has announced the initial line-up for the March 10-12, 2017 Spring Festival. An extra day has been added to the event, which will be held for the first time at the Mt. Cross Camp in Felton.
The Bands: Snap Jackson & The Knock On Wood Players, Faux Renwah, Coffee Zombie Collective, Stoney Mountain Ramblers, Toby Gray & Hiway Budda, and the Brookdale Bluegrass Band. More bands will be announced.
The Northern California Bluegrass Society welcomes the festival to our area.
The Northern California Bluegrass Society has announced the line-up for the 10th Annual NCBS Bluegrass Film Festival in Redwood City on Monday, January 30, 2017.
The FREE program will begin at 6:30pm at the Redwood City Main Library, 1044 Middlefield Road in the Community Room.

This portion of the NCBS Bluegrass On Broadway Festival was originally set for Sunday, January 29, but was rescheduled for the next day due to a venue scheduling conflict. The festival is supported by a base grant from the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission and by other agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals in the Redwood City area. The FREE weekend event will be held on Friday & Saturday, January 27 & 28 and on Monday, January 30, 2017.
A new venue has been announced for the Spring Brookdale Bluegrass Festival, to be held March 10-11, 2017.
The event will take place at the Mount Cross Camp in Felton. The new venue offers a wide variety of camping and cabin accomodations and excellent facilities.
The festival is held twice a year. All Brookdale Bluegrass-presented events since 1998 have been welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.
The evening entertainment at the 10th Annual Northern California Bluegrass Society Bluegrass On Broadway Festival will feature three top Peninsula bluegrass bands.
Bluegrass On Broadway. January 27-28 and January 30, is supported by a base grant from the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission and by other Redwood City area agencies, businesses, organiztions and individuals.
The Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series will present mountain bluegrass favorite Hidden Still (Palo Alto) on January 19, 2017.
The FREE show will run 6:00-8:30pm at the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill six miles south of Los Gatos on Highway 17 high in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
The series is presented by the Summit House and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.
There will be plenty of good bluegrass music all around Northern California for the Martin Luther King Weekend holiday week. NCBS Members will be out having a great time and you are welcome to join us!

Redwood Bluegrass Associates will present The Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band on Saturday, January 21, 2017. All RBA programs since 1995 have been welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.
The concert will be presented at the Mountain View Masonic Hall, at 890 Church Street near downtown Mountain View. Concert doors will open at 7:00pm and the concert will begin at 7:30pm. An open co-ed jam hosted by The Handsome Ladies will begin at 5:00pm.
The series has brought bluegrass to the Peninsula & South Bay for 25 years, but plans call for this to be the final concert season.
