NCBS Information Booth Set To Begin 2017 Season In Northern California

The Northern California Bluegrass Society Information Booth will be at events all during the 2017 Live Music Season in Northern California.

The booth will have flyers and sage advice about ALL area festivals, concerts, and workshops (including those events presented by the NCBS itself). The first festival outing for the 2017 season will be the March 10-12 Brookdale Bluegrass Spring Festival in Felton. The booth will appear at approximately 25 events this year (about every two weeks or so).

The service is FREE to both music presenters and music fans.

New Dates For The 13th Annual Riverdance Farms Pick & Gather Festival In Livingston On Memorial Day Weekend

The Northern California Bluegrass Society will welcome the 13th Annual Pick & Gather Festival presented by Riverdance Farms in Livingston (near Merced) on Saturday & Sunday, May 27-28, 2017.

(NOTE NEW DATES: The 2017 event was originally set for the preceding weekend, but has been moved to Memorial Day weekend due to the rainy late winter and early spring weather.)

The event will feature bluegrass and other live music, camping, fruit in season for picking, good food and information about organic farming, water quality information, and swimming in the pleasant Merced River.

The Brookdale Bluegrass Band will headline.

Now is the time to make your reservations for cabins or camping for the Brookdale Bluegrass Spring Festival at its lovely new home at the Mt. Cross Camp in Felton on March 10-12, 2017.

The festival is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society and presented by Brookdale Bluegrass.

The Goat Hill Girls Set For Thursday Evening Performance at The Summit House South Of Los Gatos

The Thursday Bluegrass Series at the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill will present The Goat Hill Girls on March 2, 2017 from 6:00-8:30pm..

The FREE weekly series is presented by the Summit House and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The Summit House is located at 23123 Santa Cruz Highway, Los Gatos (six miles south of Los Gatos) on Highway 17.

Final Two Redwood Bluegrass Concerts Set For March & April In Mountain View

The final two Redwood Bluegrass Associates concerts are set for March & April at the Masonic Hall, 890 Church Street in Mounain View.

March 18 — John Reischman & The Jaybirds

April 22 — Grande Finale With The Faultliners Featuring Keith Little and 27strings

Doors open at 7:00pm and concert time is 7:30pm. An open jam will begin at 5:00pm.

All RBA programs are welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

Line-Up Announced For March 18 Stanley Sing In San Francisco

The La Promenade Cafe

The line-up has been announced for the Saturday, March 18, 2017 Stanley Sing at La Promenade Cafe in San Francisco. The 3:00-10:00pm program is welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

Bluegrass musicians will take turns performing favorite songs of The Stanley Brothers and related bands.

The performers: Windy Hill (Thomas Wille, Ryan Breen), Eric Embry, The Hossettes (Angela Personini, Hailey Pexton, Karen Wilhoyte), Josh Tharp (of Keith Little’s Band), High Country (Larry Cohea, Jim Mintun), Keystone Crossing (Larry Carlin, Claudia Hampe), Bernal Hillbillies (Larry Chung, Bill Foss, Martha Hawthorne, Scot Brenton, Amy Scher), Ted Kuster, Town Howlers (John McKelvy), Chris Smith (The Mighty Crows), Chuck and Jeanie’s Country Round Up, Skillet Licorice (Matt Knoth, Elise Engelberg), Tom Diamont, and Paul Shelasky (house fiddler).

The La Promenade at 3643 Balboa Street is the FREE event’s new home, replacing The Lucky Horseshoe.
