The 2017 NCBS Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival will feature longtime favorite The Brookdale Bluegrass Band from Bonny Doon.
The 24th annual benefit festival for Northern California Bluegrass Society projects all year long will be held August 10-13 at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos (7 miles south of Hollister).
NCBS Members will receive a deep discount on advance ticket purchases. Non-Members receive a discount. Note that the last day to purchase discount advance tickets is on July 22. (Gate tickets will also be available.)

The Bodie 601 Band from Lee Vining will perform for the first time at the 24th Annual NCBS Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival.
The benefit festival for the Northern California Bluegrass Society will be held August 10-13 at the San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos (next to the GOF’s original home at Bolado Park — 7 miles south of Hollister).
The City Of Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission has awarded a grant that provides base funding for the Northern California Bluegrass Society’s 11th Annual Bluegrass On Broadway Festival.
The event will be held at various Redwood City venues the weekend of January 26-28, 2018.

The FREE community event includes the Northern California Bluegrass Awards on January 27 and the NCBS Bluegrass Film Festival on January 28. Other live music is presented in the restaurants, bars, and other venues around the city, creating a fun, affordable bluegrass weekend for residents and visitors alike. The grant is subject to final approval by the Redwood City Council.
Redwood City is the Pennisula Home Of Bluegrass Music, with frequent shows in the city’s music clubs and the inclusion of bluegrass music in civic celebrations and public concerts.
Highway 17 leads to the Summit House and bluegrass music.
The Thursday Bluegrass Series at the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill will present The Wildcat Mountain Ramblers from 6:00-8:30pm this coming Thursday, June 8.
This is a FREE show. Good food and drink will be served during the show.
The series is presented by the Summit House and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society. Robert Cornelius books the bands.
The Summit House is located at 23123 Santa Cruz Highway, Los Gatos (six miles south of Los Gatos) on Highway 17. There is free bluegrass every Thursday night.
The Back Eyed Susies from Santa Cruz will return to the main stage of the 24th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival.

North Bay favorite David Grisman will host the 3rd Annual SSU Bluegrass Festival on the campus of Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park on Sunday, July 9, 2017.
The Line-Up:Del & Dawg Bluegrass Band, Mark O’Connor & The O’Connor Family Band, and Sierra Hull.
The festival will take place at The Weill Hall & Lawn, Green Music Center, a beautiful campus venue that is a perfect place for an afternoon of top-notch bluegrass music performed by nationally-famous performers.
