26th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Coming August 8-11 In Tres Pinos
The 26th Annual NCBS Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass FestivalĀ will be heldĀ Thursday-Sunday, August 8-11, 2019.
The fun, friendly gathering of California bluegrass bands, jammers, and their fans will be held at the San Benito County Historical Park inĀ Tres PinosĀ (7 miles south of Hollister).
The event is the annual benefit for the year-round work of the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship Fund Now Accepting Donations For April Session
TheĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society is now collecting donations to fundĀ scholarships for the Walker Creek Spring Music CampĀ run by Ingrid Noyes at the Walker Creek Ranch nearĀ Petaluma.Ā The camp will run the weekend of April 11-14.
TheĀ NCBS Walker Creek Music Camp Scholarship FundĀ assists students who need financial help in order to attend. NCBS is a IRC Section 501(c)(3) organization that manages the fund and awards the scholarships.

The Town Howlers Will Play The April 19-21 Spring Brookdale Festival

Blue Summit To Perform At The Summit House On Thursday Evening February 21
Blue Summit will perform Thursday evening, February 21Ā in theĀ Northern California Bluegrass Society-welcomedĀ Summit House Thursday Bluegrass Series. The FREE program will run 6:00-8:30pm.Ā Good food and drink will be served.
The long-running weekly series is presented by the Summit House Beer Garden & Grill at the top of Highway 17, six miles south of Los Gatos.

The festival is presented by Brookdale BluegrassĀ and welcomed by the Northern California Bluegrass Society. Tickets are on sale now. Free camping is included in all tickets.

KKUP Bluegrass Folk & Country Marathon Is This Weekend At 91.5FM in the South Bay & Monterey Bay Areas
The KKUP Bluegrass, Folk, and Country Marathon is this weekend on the community radio station’s on-air signal at 91.5FM in the South Bay and Monterey Bay Areas, and Online. The station broadcasts more bluegrass music throughout the year than any other outlet in our area.
The marathon proper will run from Friday, February 15 at Noon until Sunday, February 17 at Midnight. The fun will begin with a Kick-Off Show on Thursday, February 14, 7:00-10:00pm. A Wrap-Up Show will run 6:00-9:00pm on Monday, February 18.
There will be plenty of live music all weekend long. The official marathon shirt features Patsy Cline. Many NCBS Members will be on-air as announcers and performers. This will be a nice listen for everyone in the local bluegrass community.

Wildcat Mountain Ramblers Set For Valentine’s Day Show At The Summit House
