16-20 — Walnut Valley Festival, Winfield, KS. Postponed until 2021.

18-20 — Pickin’ In The Pines, Flagstaff, AZ. — Postponed until 2021.

17-20 — McCloud Mountain Bluegrass Festival, Hoo-Hoo Park, McCloud. Cancelled.

18-20 — Millpond Music Festival, Millpond Park, Bishop. Cancelled.

22-27 — Berkeley Old Time Music Convention, various venues, Berkeley. In-person event cancelled. Will be presented as a virtual event.

25-27 — KVMR Celtic Festival, Nevada County Fairgrounds, Grass Valley. Postponed until 2021.

OCTOBER

2-4 — Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Cancelled, will be replaced with online program.

2-4 — Viva Las VeGrass Bluegrass Festival, Spring Mountain Visitor’s Gateway, Mt. Charleston, NV. Cancelled — Will be back in 2021.

NOVEMBER

13-15 — Wickenburg Bluegrass Festival, Wickenburg, AZ. As scheduled.

FEBRUARY 2021

13-17 — Folk Alliance International Convention, Kansas City, MO. Suspended (effectively cancelled).

The NCBS Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival’s popular Facebook Group Page  is a happening music place all this year despite the festival’s cancellation due to the Coronavirus. The page is full of unique local bluegrass music. Enjoy!

NCBS Directory For Online Lessons Is A FREE Service To Connect Musicians and Students

The NCBS Directory to give Online Lessons to bluegrass students and fans during the Coronavirus Crisis lists interested musicians from around Northern California. The directory is a FREE Northern California Bluegrass Society service.

To find a teacher, look under Resources in the index on the left side of this website. Music students can arrange ONLINE LESSONS with their favorite musicians. The price will be between teacher and student. Musicians  can sign up to offer lessons at <webmaster@ncbs.us>.

Great Bands Played The 2020 GOF Festival Online — Here Is How To Watch It If You Missed The Livestream

Great bands — Brookdale Bluegrass Band, Goat Hill Girls, AJ Lee & Blue Summit, & Mike Fisher & Joanne Tanner — performed at the 27th Annual Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival Online on August 8, 2020.

This program is available in archive form in case you missed the livestream. The Northern California Bluegrass Society staged the program without an audience up in the Santa Cruz Mountains to comply with Coronavirus Safety Rules. The event took the place of the cancelled 4-day in-person festival.
