Five-Day Reminder: You can write off up to $300 in cash donations on your tax return when you file your 2020 tax return next spring, even if you do not itemize. Normally, you must itemize deductions to write off charitable giving when you file your taxes.
The CARES Act added a new, one-year-only $300 Charitable Contribution Deduction. The deadline is December 31, 2020. Now is the time to donate up to $300 to the Northern California Bluegrass Society/Santa Cruz Bluegrass Society.
