Two new activities will be available at this year’s Good Old Fashioned Bluegrass Festival, set for August 9-12, 2018:
Recording Opportunity
Bruce Champion will set up a recording studio in the historic village, where everyone is welcome to stop by and record a song or two. This is a free service (tips are encouraged). Afterwards, he will join the jams on his guitar.
Earthquake Tours
Julian Lozos will lead earthquake tours in the park, with exciting information about this very active area. Dr. Lozos is a professor at California State University-Northridge. In the evenings, he will join the jams on his mandolin.
In addition, two other popular activities will be expanded at this year’s event:
Late Night Shows
The Town Howlers and Loganville will perform in the historic village dance hall following the end of the main stage performances on Friday and Saturday nights.
Historic Village Tours
Don Pidd of the San Benito Country Historical Society will lead additional tours of the historic village during the festival.
There is no additional charge for any of these activities. Enjoy!
